This is how a 'The Boys' game might have looked like if it existed

The video game adaptation of the superhero TV series “The Boys” on Prime Video appears promising.

The fourth season of The Boys on Prime Video concluded this week, and it was a huge success. People are now discussing the idea of a video game based on The Boys after the showrunner and creator of the show revealed the inner workings of the most dramatic scene in the finale. Warning: this section contains major spoilers.

Eric Kripke disclosed that the team collaborates with Cncpt Studio to produce intricate computer-generated pre-visualizations for significant scenes before they are shot, as demonstrated in the season finale.

Without having performers rehearse in person, the crew can make decisions about camera angles, lenses, and coverage by creating a pre-vis sequence such as this one, according to Kripke.

Pre-vis animatics were a notable tool utilized by Peter Jackson to sketch out some of the film’s largest and trickiest moments. It’s a common practice in Hollywood films.

For the critical scene in The Boys’ season finale where Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) uses tentacles that he fires out of his chest to rend would-be president Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) in half, Kripke recruited Cncpt’s assistance. The pre-vis for this scene by Cncpt is quite good in and of itself; it includes a good amount of detail on all the major actors and their actions.

“Our team is amazing,” Kripke said of the work. Take a look at the video for yourself below.

‘The Boys’ video game concept

People are pleading with Prime Video to develop a video game based on The Boys because of the amazing character models. It’s unclear when that would occur, and considering that Sony Pictures Television produces The Boys for Prime Video, the rights could be a little tricky. Additionally, Sony and Amazon each have a separate gaming section.

Video game adaptations of The Boys have already included playable versions of Homelander, Starlight, and Black Noir in Call of Duty, and Homelander alone in Mortal Kombat.

There will be a final season of The Boys, but it won’t air very soon. Fans can anticipate Gen V Season 2 sooner rather than later in the interim.
